You must be 18 years or older to adopt from KaiZen Mousery or have adult permission.

I welcome pet owners and breeders alike. Please do not hesitate to ask me questions.

Please be honest with your intentions per your adoptions. KaiZen is a very open minded and understanding rodentry, if you are also open and communicate with us. It is in the best interest of the animals.

Deposits will be asked to hold any animals for longer than 1 week. Deposits can be paid via Venmo or Zelle upon inquiry. Payments for adoption fees can be paid in person in cash, or with Venmo or Zelle.

I only adopt female mice to pet homes. Please be prepared to adopt at least 2 mice from me if you do not have any already at home.

I will not rehome male mice to pet homes. Male mice should not be housed together, but still need some social aspects to their life. If you do not plan to breed, a male will never be able to have the companionship from another mouse that every mouse needs. Male mice will be available to individuals with plans to breed. Male and female rats will be available for adoption, all the same.

Breeders may adopt breeding male and female mice from me under disclosure. Please be honest with your intentions, as I am here to help if needed. Rats are sold as pets only unless discussed prior. Please do not hesitate to inquire about breeding rats. I am happy to help and talk about it.

Any animals adopted from KaiZen are highly advised to be quarantined for at least 3 weeks in another air space after bringing them home, if you have other rodents within your home. If unable to keep in another space, it is advised to do your best to keep them separate from your current animals and always wash your hands before/after handling and interacting. KaiZen is a lab tested Rodentry, but it's always best to practice safety protocols.

KaiZen will not adopt out mice under 5 weeks of age and rats under 6 weeks of age.

When adopting an animal labeled pet/retired, you agree not to breed this animal for any reason. If discovered that such animals have been bred, you will be blacklisted from adopting from KaiZen again.

Please bring a chew proof carrier with you when you pickup your new mice or rats.
